I typically crochet, but needed a craft which could be done while holding my newborn, and this fit the bill. I have never been so impressed by a crafting kit before - the pattern booklet contains very detailed pictures and an easy to understand chart, and the tapestry wool was laid out in exact order as the color key for simple cross referencing. Included was a set of bargello-printed emery boards as a gift, even. I hadn’t attempted bargello in around 3 decades, but watching just a couple minutes of the free videos on the site got me moving quickly. I’m almost to the point of assembling the wallet, then will move onto the tote. Already planning to get another kit once I’m finished with these projects. Thank you, Hello Bargello team, for allowing me a fun and satisfying way to get crafty again.
This was a great project to get comfortable with bargello and reading a pattern. The color choices were bright and cheerful (even better in person!). This wallet is a great example of all of the ways plastic canvas can be used to create things that function, not just as decoration. I also loved the pattern booklet that came with it, which was easy to refer to when needed.
