1. E-COMMERCE ASSISTANT

Hello Bargello is a women-owned and operated e-commerce business specializing in modern crafting + DIY subscription boxes and kits. Our mission is to reinvent traditional fiber crafts for modern makers – spreading colorful maximalism, the joy of handmade hobbies, and a love of retro flair.  


We’re seeking a creative and strategic individual to join our growing team in the role of Creative E-commerce Assistant. This is an amazing opportunity to contribute to all aspects of our business while receiving one-on-one mentorship and learning the ropes of a growing e-commerce lifestyle brand. This position offers a veritable master class in independent e-commerce business, product development and small-batch manufacturing, and an opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways to new launches and existing products. Originally founded in Brooklyn, Hello Bargello is now based in Northern Westchester. We offer a relaxed work environment in our colorful and cute studio space located an 8 minute walk from the Metro North. Easy commute from northern NYC, with travel stipend offered. 

Roles + Responsibilities

The Creative E-Commerce Assistant contributes to multiple aspects of the business on a daily basis, including:

  • Maintaining systems of organization for all product releases; coordinating among team members to reach goals and deadlines. 
  • Maintain website product listings including simple image/video editing and uploading; writing/editing product listings; optimizing website pages and SEO terms.
  • Support multiple facets of product launches including: coordinating ordering and inventory management, website updates, newsletter blasts, and coordinating order fulfillment. 
  • Assist with aspects of new product development including detailed internet research and sourcing. Opportunity to contribute creatively to the product development process.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties throughout the manufacturing process to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Coordinating inventory ordering across multiple supply chains. 
  • Exciting opportunity to participate from the ground up with our new subscription box product launch in 2024. 
  • Must have strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years professional experience.
  • A detail-obsessed, highly organized individual. A passionate list-maker and spreadsheet-master to lead our small team in setting and meeting goals.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator. 
  • Strong internet research skills.
  • Proficient in Shopify, Photoshop, Google Suite, and Asana
  • An appreciation of crafts, design, textiles, and other creative pursuits.

Hours + Location

This is a part-time position (approx 16-24 hours per week) with the option of payroll or independent contractor status. Strong opportunity for future advancement with increased hours and responsibilities for the right candidate. 

Flexible hours Monday-Friday. 

This position is located in Mt Kisco, NY an easy train ride from Grand Central or northern NYC with travel stipend offered. (We are an 8-minute walk from the Metro North station; no car required.)

2. STUDIO ASSISTANT

We’re seeking a creative and detailed individual to join our growing team in the role of Creative Studio Assistant. This is an amazing opportunity to contribute to many aspects of our business while receiving one-on-one mentorship and learning the ropes of a growing e-commerce lifestyle brand. If you love colorful craft supplies, cute products, fun packaging AND you’re highly organized and detail-oriented – we want to meet you! 

Roles + Responsibilities

  • Hands-on assistant position in a growing e-commerce creative business.
  • Primary responsibilities focus on preparing and shipping daily e-commerce orders. 
  • Assist with website maintenance tasks.
  • General studio organization and maintenance.
  • Assist with social media.
  • Assist with the ordering, management and organization of all inventory.
  • Receive and reconcile all incoming shipments.
  • Track out of stock items and conduct weekly inventories.
  • Part time position, Monday-Friday with flexible hours that can be customized to your availability. Strong possibility of advancement with increased hours and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Entry level or similar.
  • Ideal candidate is reliable, professional, organized and detail-oriented, with a desire to learn and advance. A highly accurate individual who is able to execute detailed tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time and work independently while juggling multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator. 
  • Knowledge of Shopify, Photoshop, Google Suite, and social media platforms
  • An appreciation of crafts, design, textiles, and other creative pursuits.
